Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative-CCEMC Florence Construction Material Removal
December 7, 2018
Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative is seeking a proposal on unit basis for the removal of construction equipment left onsite during emergency restoration of power from Hurricane Florence; mainly transformers and poles in various locations throughout the system. We are requesting one (1) crew capable of removing such items. Items may be located in back yards or similar areas for which a line truck alone cannot access. A dump truck or dump trailer with mini excavator or similar is recommended. The Cooperative will provide one bird dog for the project to identify locations ahead of time.
Carteret-Craven EC has headquarters in Newport, North Carolina and serves approximately 40,000 members. The Cooperative’s service territory primarily encompasses two counties; Carteret and Craven. The Cooperative also serves small portions of Jones and Onslow Counties. As an RUS borrower the Cooperative constructs its facilities following RUS specifications. The system operating voltage is 12.47/7.2 kV and has been assessed as a hazard risk category 2 (8 cal/cm2) system.
