Barnhill Contracting Company will be bidding on the following project on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
We are most interested in receiving quotes from your company on this project by 10:00 AM Thursday, October 8, 2020.
ST-311 2021 City of Durham Street Repairs and Repaving
This project consists of resurfacing various streets within the City of Durham consisting of the following quantities: +/- 40,086 TN of Superpave Asphalt, +/- 788 manhole and watervalve adjustments, +/- 246,251 SY of asphalt milling, +/- 13,097 TN of pavement patching, thermoplastic pavement markings, +/- 8,250 LF of inductive loop sawcut, and 6,000 SY of seeding and mulching.

Hardcopies of the plans and specs are also on file at our office located at 4325 Pleasant Valley Road, Raleigh, NC.
The City of Durham will hold a virtual pre-bid conference on September 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The prebid meeting will be a Zoom meeting. Log in details will be provided by the City 24 hours in advance of the prebid meeting on the above referenced website.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions Barnhill Contracting Company will not host an in-person prebid meeting. Should you want to discuss the specific work on this project and the available work opportunities please contact Brian Harrington at (919)785-9179 in our Raleigh office.
We will accept quotes on any portion of this project, large or small. Where practical, we will work to break down or combine portions of work in an effort to encourage your participation.
For hauling operations, we will need to know how many of your own hauling units will be available for this project. We will need this on your written quote prior to bid time and this will be made a part of any subcontract. If you have any interest in these projects, we would appreciate your advising us of the items you may be interested in (please do not forget to put your name and phone number on returned listing sheet), and return the enclosed sheet to us.
Please note: Any subcontracts may require a bond. Please check with the above listed estimator. If you need assistance with obtaining bonding, lines of credit, or insurance required by the owner or Barnhill, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would appreciate if you could contact us a minimum of 5 days prior to bid day when possible. Please feel free to contact us if you need assistance in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials, or related services. Joint check and or quick pay agreements can be arranged to help with cash flow issues. Please contact us if you would like to have a partnership arrangement for subcontracted work.

By submitting a quote it is understood that you have read and understand the specifications on this project. The lowest responsible subcontractor at the time our bid is turned in will be awarded those items of work if we are awarded this job.
