If you are receiving this email message, we have either recently met at the ENC Conference in Pinehurst, NC hosted by the NC Institute, or you have supported Hensel Phelps in the past with sharing construction trade opportunities with DBEs in your network.
This Fall & Winter, Hensel Phelps has some really exciting purchasing efforts for the Asheville, NC Regional Airport Terminal Modernization Project.
The final and largest bid package will come out later this month and purchasing will begin in mid-December. We are looking for DBEs and Large firms for almost all construction trade scopes. See list of scopes at the bottom of this email.

We sent the message below to DBE firms in the region from the databases listed (as well as to large firms outside those databases), but we believe it means that much more when a message is delivered directly from the likes of you all to DBEs and large firms in your network.

Good Evening Trade Partners,
Hensel Phelps is excited to share our Asheville Regional Airport Terminal Modernization and Expansion Project CGMP#3 Bid Package construction opportunities with all interested regional firms, including regional DOT DBE firms. Bids are due mid-December 2022.
On Wednesday October 19th, 2022, from 3pm – 5pm, we are hosting an in-person event to share information about the project. The event will be held in the DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore near Biltmore Village (See the attached flyer). The event will begin with a less than 1-hour presentation followed by a 30+ minute meet and greet.
The presentation will be live streamed for those who cannot make it in person. The Teams Live link will be provided to those who RSVP. The presentation will also be recorded and shared with all who RSVP when complete. There will be direct construction trade opportunities with Hensel Phelps, as well as 2nd tier subcontracting opportunities with other large trade partners that wish to bid the project. See the list below of the upcoming available scopes of work for Fall 2022/Winter 2023 purchasing. Bids are due mid-December 2022.
We are encouraging you to consider working with the Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) and Hensel Phelps, and to come out and learn more about the project! Hensel Phelps is committed to maximizing DBE participation on the project and delivering a quality product to GARAA. Please see the attached electronic flyer, which includes a link to RSVP and a separate link to complete the required pre-qualification form. Your pre-qualification form must be submitted online no later than COB November 11th, 2022.
