BID INVITATION FOR:  East Franklin Elementary Addition & Renovations, 100 Watauga Street, Franklin, NC 28734

Bid Date & Time: Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2:00p.m., LOCAL TIME

Bid Location: Macon County Schools, Central Office – Board Room, 1202 Old Murphy Road, Franklin, NC 28734 – Owner’s Representative: Todd Gibbs, Director Aux. Services (Ph – 828.524.3314)

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material & equipment on this date.

The work of project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed. The project generally consists of interior renovations to 2 existing classrooms and a new 7,000 sf classroom addition – including associated site work, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire alarm scopes of work. The project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the contract drawings and/or specifications for a complete project.

The featured scope of work per contract documents are as follows: Selective demolition, cast-in-place concrete, CMU, structural steel framing, steel joists, steel decking, wood, plastics, and composites, thermal and moisture protection, hollow metal doors and frames, flush woof doors, aluminum windows, door hardware, glazing, non-structural framing, gypsum board, ceramic tiling, ACT, resilient base and accessories, resilient sheet and tile flooring, interior painting, specialties, residential appliances, furnishings, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements, and utilities.

Hickory Construction Company, Hickory, NC is seeking subcontractors for specific scope of work as described above.
