BID INVITATION FOR:  Haywood County Detention Center Expansion, 1620 Brown Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786

Bid Date: Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., LOCAL TIME

Location: County of Haywood, 215 North Main Street, Third Floor, Waynesville, NC 28786 (Owner’s Representative: Office of the County Manager)

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on this date.

The work of project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed. The project generally consists of an addition to the existing detention center totaling approximately 33,000 sf. Construction includes concrete and CMU veneer masonry construction with steel framing, interior CMU partitions, PVC roofing, architectural casework, detention equipment, and finishes typically associated with a new detention center. Site work includes storm water management, sidewalks, parking lots, grading, and fencing/gates. Mechanical work includes ductwork, plumbing, sprinkler system, smoke control system, controls, and roof top units. Electrical work includes panelboards, lighting fixtures, fire alarm, emergency generator, power, technology wiring and infrastructure. Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2023. The work as described above is not all inclusive.

Hickory Construction Company, Hickory, NC is seeking subcontractors for specific scope of work as described above.
