Bid Location: Wilkes County Schools, 212 School Bus Drive, Wilkesboro, NC 28659 – Owner’s Representative: Mr. D. Mark Byrd, Superintendent

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the construction at 2:00p.m. on this date.

The work of project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed. The project generally consists of the construction of a 27,625 sq. ft. competition gymnasium with locker rooms, concessions and group toilets. Construction will be poured in place concrete floor slab, metal studs and brick exterior walls, CMU corridors, metal roof trusses and metal roofing. Exterior materials include brick veneer, exterior stucco, metal window frames and doors, mechanically fastened membrane roof and raised seam metal roof. Interior materials include wood athletic flooring, resilient athletic flooring, VCT floor tiles, ceramic tile in toilet areas, telescoping bleachers, painted gypsum walls and acoustical lay-in ceilings. The project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the contract drawings and/or specifications for a complete project.

The featured scope of work per contract documents are as follows: Concrete reinforcement, cast-in-place concrete, CMU, marble, structural steel, open web joists, metal roof decking, light gauge metal framing, misc. metals, metal stairs, wood treatment rough and finish carpentry, cabinetwork/millwork, dampproofing and waterproofing, building insulation, roofing, flashing and sheet metal work, membrane roofing, wall flashing, sheet metal roofing system (Span-Seam), roof hatches/scuttle, caulking and sealants, metal doors and frames, wood doors, specialty doors and shutters, aluminum windows and storefronts, finish hardware, weather stripping, glass and glazing, gypsum drywall, ceramic/porcelain tile, suspended acoustical ceiling, wood athletic flooring system, resilient flooring, acoustical wall panels & acoustical ceiling baffles, painting, markerboards & tackboards, trophy display cases, identifying devices, solid plastic toilet partitions, toilet accessories, fire extinguishers and cabinets, lockers and benches, aluminum canopy, athletic equipment, gymnasium dividers, window treatment, telescoping bleachers, fire suppression sprinklers, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements, asphalt paving, roads and walks, chain link fencing, landscaping, and water, sewer utilities.
