NJR GROUP, INC is preparing to bid a Fuel Farm Expansion project at Charlotte Douglas Airport and would like to have your quotation on any items in your line of work. Please find the project listed below with a brief description of work available.

Location: Charlotte Douglas Airport, Charlotte NC
Description: Site work for a water / sewer project in Charlotte, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project. The project involves the demolition of Tanks No. 5 and 6 and replacing with one nominal 37,000-barrel tank (Tank 11). Demolish 10,000-barrel Tanks No. 5 and 6 including tank, ringwall foundations, intermediate dike walls, associated above ground fill and suction pipe and related appurtenances. Erect new nominal 37,000-barrel API 650 tank, tank stairs, ringwall foundation, under tank liner, leak detection, cathodic protection and associated fill and suction piping. The project also includes various improvements to Tanks No 1 thru 4 and Tanks No. 7 thru 10.

Subcontractors will be required to have the following minimum insurance limits for this project: Workers Compensation- $500,000; General Liability – $1 million; and Auto – $1 million. We intend to take the following steps to encourage the participation of MBE/WBE companies:
- Soliciting MBE/WBE companies listed in the NCDOT Directory of Transportation Firms who are located in and interested in working in the Division where the project is located.
- Selecting portions of work to be performed by MBE/WBE contractors, and breaking out contract work into economically feasible units to facilitate MBE/WBE participation.
- Negotiating in good faith with interested MBE/WBE companies and not rejecting MBE/WBE companies as unqualified without a thorough investigation of their capabilities.
- Making efforts to assist interested MBE/WBE companies in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials, same unit pricing with material suppliers, bonding, credit and insurance required to perform work on the project.
- Encouraging non MBE/WBE companies to use MBE/WBE companies for their scopes of work.
- Offering quick pay agreements.
