ST Wooten/ P134 Slocum Road Physical Security Compliance – MCAS Cherry Point – Havelock, NC

S.T. Wooten Corporation is soliciting quotes for the P134 Slocum Road Physical Security Compliance project at MCAS Cherry Point, in Havelock, NC.

This project will replace the existing entry control facility (ECF) at Slocum Road and provide a new ECF that will serve as the main entrance and exit point into and out of MCAS Cherry Point.  The project widens Slocum Road from two lanes to four lanes and relocates the road to better comply with Explosive Safety Quantity Distance (ESQD) criteria regarding Public Transportation Routes (PTR), provides an additional two-lane bridge beside the existing two-lane bridge over Slocum Creek, and provides improved gate and inspection facilities. The new ECF will include a visitor control center, gatehouse, sentry booths, and main gate inspection canopies, over watch position, a truck/POV inspection office.

Potential subcontracting opportunities include, but are not limited to, hauling, traffic control, clearing & grubbing, select tree removal, erosion control, seeding/sod, power distribution, demolition (including structures), asphalt milling, utilities, storm drainage, site electrical, communication lines, pavement markings, signs, landscaping, security devices and buildings.

Potential material supplier opportunities include, but are not limited to, erosion control materials/devices, geofrabrics, aggregates, waterline and sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and traffic control devices.

UPDATE: The Government has released Amendment 0004 for the P134 Slocum Road Physical Security Compliance project.  This amendment pushes the bid date to July 26.

UPDATE: The Government released Amendment 0006 late Friday afternoon.  Amendment 0006 extended the proposal due date one week to August 2, answered PPIs, provided an updated Bid Schedule, and other various attachments.
