Sealed proposals for completion of the Davis Drive Track Repair Project will be received on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., in the office of the Wake County Public School System, Facilities Building, Reception Desk, 1429 Rock Quarry Road, Suite 116, Raleigh, NC. This project will be bid and awarded in accordance with North Carolina law. Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received until 2:00 p.m. All bids will be opened and read aloud starting at 2:00 p.m. All times are local prevailing times.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m., at 2101 Davis Drive, Cary, NC 27519. Questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to: Charles P. Ristimaki with Dewberry Engineers, Inc., 2610 Wycliff Road, Suite 410, Raleigh, NC 27607or via email: cristimaki@Dewberry.com.
Complete plans and specifications may be obtained from ARC Document Solutions, 951 Aviation Parkway, Suite 700, Morrisville, NC 27560, (919-388-9900) during normal office hours beginning 8:00 a.m. April 1, 2019. Electronic copies of the documents can be obtained, at no charge, by emailing request to: email@example.com. If hard copies are requested a refundable plan deposit of $50.00 made payable to Wake County Public School System. Questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to: Charles P. All contractors submitting bids will be required to provide either: (1) an affidavit that includes a description of the portion of work to be executed by minority businesses, expressed as a percentage of the total contract price, which is equal to or more than the applicable total; (2) documentation of its good faith effort to meet this goal, including any advertisements, solicitations, and evidence of other specific actions demonstrating recruitment and selection of minority business for participation in the contract as required by the contract documents; or (3) an affidavit verifying that the bidder will be self-performing all of the work as defined in N.C Gen. Stat. 143-128.2. Failure to file the required affidavit or documentation that demonstrates that the contractor made the required good faith effort is grounds for rejection of the bid. The Wake County Public School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the School System. The Wake County Public School System also reserves the right to require any bidder to submit information needed to determine if said bidder is responsible within the meaning of N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-129.
