Want to start a business, but not sure of the paperwork you need or the steps you should take???  This Startup Workshop is designed to give Entrepreneurs on-site legal counsel and assistance.  This hands-on workshop will provide participants with answers to their legal questions, support with filling out documents with NC Secretary of the State, and support with completing all paperwork to get your business up and running. Walk away with your startup documents in hand. Bring your laptop and form of payment to complete business registration on-site.

At this event, you will learn from attorney Danielle Nodar the steps you should take when forming a business, all the way through the hiring of staff, to first ensure first that your personal assets are protected, and then to make sure that your business assets are protected as your business grows and flourishes.  Danielle will discuss the differences between an LLC and a corporation, differences between an independent contractor and an employee, types of contracts every business owner needs, and types of intellectual property protection such as trademarks and copyrights.
