No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days. All bidders must be properly licensed under applicable laws of the State of North Carolina, at the time of bid submittal.
Gaston County has established a verifiable goal of 10% for participation by minority business in building construction contracts awarded pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143- 128. Prospective Bidders should refer to Gaston County Contract Signature Page. The MB Participation forms provided in the Bid Document shall be submitted by all prospective Bidders.
The Contractor shall comply with the Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulations for construction promulgated under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (PL91-596) and under Section 107 of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (PL91-54), or latest revisions.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any or no reason, and to waive informalities.
The successful bidder shall be notified by the Owner of award by mail, and said successful bidder shall within ten days thereafter, execute the Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor (EJCDC C-522, 2016 Edition).
Gaston County encourages the participation of minority and women/historically underutilized business enterprises. All bidders are hereby notified that they shall comply with the Gaston County Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise (MWBE) Policy. MWBE requirements are included in the specifications. Gaston County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to award the contract in a manner deemed to be in the best interest of Gaston County.
