All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material & equipment on this date.
Bid Location: North Carolina School of Science and Math Western Campus, 901 Burkemont Avenue (Goodwin Hall Room 4005), Morganton, NC 28655 – Owner’s Representative: Mr. Robert Allen, Vice Chancellor – Finance and Operations
The work of project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed. The project generally consists of an existing 19,350 sf, 3 story brick building originally constructed in 1930, all major demolition and abatement has been completed. This renovation project includes exterior work and full interior upfit. The exterior work includes the replacement of the roof, the windows, refurbishing, existing doors, replacement of all trim and exterior paneling and repointing and repairing the existing exterior masonry walls. The interior upfit will contain visual arts classrooms, data computing classrooms, offices and large conference room, and full new complete HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems. The project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the contract drawings and/or specifications for a complete project.
The featured scope of work per contract documents are as follows; Removal & salvage of period construction materials, demolition, maintenance of concrete, under-slab vapor barrier, concrete, cast underlayment, conservation treatment for period masonry, CMU, structural steel framing, steel joists, steel deck, cold formed metal framing, metal fabrications, metal ladders, pipe and tube railings, decorative metal, wood, plastics, and composites, thermal and moisture protection, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, access doors and panels, aluminum-framed storefronts, aluminum windows, door hardware, glazing, mirrors, fire-rated glazing, louvers, floor preparation, gypsum board assemblies, tiling, ACT, resilient flooring, fluid-applied flooring, sound-absorbing wall and ceiling units, painting, staining and transparent finishing, high performance coatings, panel signage, metal toilet compartments, toilet, bath, and laundry accessories, fire protection specialties, equipment, window shades, countertops, electric traction elevators, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities.
Hickory Construction Company, Hickory, NC is seeking subcontractors for specific scope of work as described above.
