Project Scope:

• The scope of this project is demolishing eight (8) heating and ventilating units in two (2) dormitory buildings and replace with new units, including air conditioning with external condensing units and supporting general, electrical, controls, and fire alarm disconnect/reconnect to support needed for the HVAC installation.
• Alternate #1 will include demolishing four (4) heating and ventilating units in one (1) dormitory building and replacement with new units, including air conditioning with exterior condensing units and supporting general, electrical, controls, and fire alarm disconnect/reconnect to support needed for the HVAC installation.
• Alternate #2 will include removal of one (1) heating and ventilating unit in the single cell building and replace with new units, including air conditioning with external condensing units and supporting general, electrical, controls, and fire alarm disconnect/reconnect to support needed for the HVAC installation.
• Alternate #3 is for preferred manufacturer for HVAC controls: Distech Controls (ECB BACnet Series).
• Alternate #4 is for preferred manufacturer for Fire Alarm: Notifier.

Work shall be substantially complete on or before 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.

Sealed bids will be received by the NC Department of Adult Correction up to 1:00pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2024, and opened in person at the Central Engineering Large Conference Room located at 2020 Yonkers Road, Raleigh, NC  27699.

No emailed or faxed bids will be accepted.

Mandatory Pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2024, at 10:00am on site at 5918 NC Highway 39 South, Bunn NC 27508.
