Lane Construction/ P-239, F-35 Flightline Utility Modernization Phase II, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC

Lane is bidding the P-239, F-35 Flightline Utility Modernization Phase II, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, North Carolina.  This work includes P239 F-35 Flightline Utility Modernization Phase II, Bid-Build Project, Marine Corps Air Station MCAS, Cherry Point. P-239 will upgrade, renovate, and modernize base utilities in the core area to serve future airfield facilities. Utility work includes fire protection lines, potable water lines, communication fiber and duct bank, sanitary sewer, electrical distribution lines, substation upgrades, industrial wastewater lines, natural gas, and steam distribution. Project is considered Phase 2 of 2. The project will separate the fire protection system for the deluge sprinkler and existing aqueous film forming foam systems flight line buildings from the existing potable water system. The new fire distribution system will include pipeline, fire pumps, fire pump buildings and water storage facilities. The potable water distribution system along A Street will be resized to correct the hydraulics and improve water quality to the existing buildings. This project will also include new water service connections, advanced meters and the connection to the existing system along A Street. Elevated water storage tanks will be repaired and/or replaced to support the hydraulic changes. Communications pathways consisting of fiber, duct banks, manholes, and cable will be constructed along A Street. Infrastructure will be modernized to support ALIS. Provide hardware installation/replacement, new splices, expand vault and additional coring. Sanitary sewer system will be a gravity collection system to replace the aged wastewater collection mains, pump station and lift stations.

 

Lane Construction welcomes participation from certified diverse firms on this project.  The Lane Construction Corporation is willing to break out parts of this contract’s work items into economically feasible units to facilitate diverse subcontractor participation.  Lane Construction is willing to negotiate in good faith with interested diverse subcontractors, and Lane will not reject firms, as being unqualified without sound reasons based on thorough investigation of their abilities. Lane Construction will work with diverse firms on issues related to bonding, insurance, lines of credit and equipment.  If you are not a certified diverse subcontractor but can provide participation (with 2nd-tier certified subcontractors or suppliers participation) in your quote, that would be greatly appreciated. Information and quantities shared for this design-build project is to remain confidential per our design.

 

The minimum total small business subcontracting requirement for this contract is as follows:

20% of the project value and 40% of the total subcontractor value.**
