MWBE Bid Opportunity/ RFQ for Construction Manager at Risk Services for Fire Station No. 1, Fire Administration, and Back-up 911 Facility
The City of Raleigh is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from construction management at risk (CMAR) firms with public safety expertise, for the construction of a new facility, to be located on a two-acre site located at the corner of Salisbury Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
This site will house the new Fire Station No. 1, Fire Administration Headquarters, and Back-up Emergency 911 Center. CMAR services include, but are not limited to pre-construction and construction phase services (see below map for new location). The new multiple level facility is planned to be approximately 50,000 SF to meet operational needs for a 5-Bay fire station, relocation of fire administration staff and services, and relocating the backup 911 Emergency 911 Center. The urban site is compact and will have unique challenges during construction. The project currently has a budget around $70M.
