RFQ: Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex – Expansion and Relocation

The City of Raleigh is seeking one or more highly qualified and experienced Firm(s) with which to contract for the following services:

• Provide comprehensive professional design services for the design of the Raleigh Convention Center expansion and the relocation of Red Hat Amphitheater. Firms must prove that they possess the requisite experience, skills, and technical and administrative capability and capacity to participate in a team approach to project delivery. The team assembled for the project must include professionals who can demonstrate high standards of accomplishment and knowledge in the hospitality industry or in public assembly facilities in an urban setting. Firms shall demonstrate a proven track record of successfully completing high profile entertainment and business venue sector civic projects that deliver on the City’s vision and design while adhering to all applicable requirements, standards, criteria, and budget.
• The Firms professional services may include programming, architectural design, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design, plumbing, electrical and mechanical engineering, structural engineering, site and civil engineering, acoustical engineering, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), geotechnical engineering, controls engineering, design features, land surveying, vertical transportation, code consulting, estimating, audio/visual, information technology, security, and other tasks not defined or mentioned herein. The Firms will serve as the City’s professional technical representative in the tasks of the project and will give consultation and advice to the City during the performance of the Firms services. In addition, providing documentation and records management as required to ensure compliance with project reports, drawings, specifications, codes, and regulations. All work must be coordinated with representatives of the City of Raleigh and its Consultants.

The Mandatory Pre-Submittal Conference followed by optional site visit is Friday, October 6, 2023, on Microsoft Teams. The deadline for written questions is Friday, October 13, 2023, by 4pm. The Submittal Due Date is Thursday, November 2, 2023, by 4pm.
