ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID: Sealed proposals will be received by Balfour Beatty Construction for the Johnston County Public Schools New Elementary School in Smithfield, NC.
Bids for the following packages will be opened on January 16th, 2024 @ 2:00 PM: BP3A Concrete, BP5A Struc. & Misc. Steel, 31E Sitework, Paving, & Utilities, 31F Pump Station & Off-Site Sewer, 31G Sitework & Pump Station Combo.
All bids will be received and opened publicly at JCPS Simpson Building Board Room (2320 US-70 Bus Smithfield, NC 27577). Bids will not be accepted from bidders that are not pre-qualified.
On December 14th, 2023, a Pre-Bid Meeting & HUB Outreach will be held at 2:00 pm in person at the JCPS Simpson Building Board Room and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Bid Documents will be available on December 11th, 2023, at http://app.buildingconnected.com/_/risk/publicinvite/5430e7a75cdc2e0300dd757d. All interested parties are advised that the pre-qualified bidders list will be finalized and made available via the issuance of a project addendum no less than 7 days prior to bid. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission. Good faith efforts are a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes. The CM and Owner reserve the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.

| Pricing for the Sitework, Paving, Utilities, Pump Station and Off Site Sewer work for the Johnston County Elementary School. Scope of work includes but not limited to: surveying, clearing, demolition, grading, traffic control, concrete paving, curb and gutter, ABC stone, hauling, erosion control, seeding, fine grading, asphalt paving, pavement markings and signs. Pricing is requested to be submitted by January 15th no later than 12:00 PM. Plans and specifications are available at http://app.buildingconnected.com/_/risk/public-invite/5430e7a75cdc2e0300dd757d .
Please contact us for assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, and insurance as required. Bonds are not required for subcontracts less than $100,000.00.
