Invitation to Bid for University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill | Grounds Demolition / Abatement
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Grounds Demolition and Abatement will be a standalone enabling project for the future UNC Translational Research Building (TRB). This initial project will encompass fencing o” the existing Grounds service site and preparing it for the new TRB. The site has existing structures that will be removed, there will be abatement and hazardous material removal within this scope of work. In addition the abatement and removal of existing structures, we are also responsible for soil remediation, these areas are identified within the bid documents. Existing site utilities that are active with existing structures will be caped and removed. Relocation of existing site utilities that service adjacent building will be included within this scope of work. All existing concrete foundations and existing paved area will be removed. Temporary fencing, site access roads, and erosion control measures and maintenance of these features are included in this scope of work. The site will be brought to a final grade, seeded and left established in preparation to start TRB.
Sealed bids from contractors will be received on Thursday, August 8, 2024, for Bid for furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the UNC-CH Grounds Demolition / Abatement. Bids will be received until 1:00 PM from subcontractors and will be publicly opened at 1:00 pm at Giles Horney Building – Room 100A (Magnolia Room), located at 103 Airport Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. Parking is available at the Giles Horney Building.
