WBC Richmond Online Learning Lab

This online training portal gives clients access to content that helps them become better business owners. The content focuses on the key areas of managing a business: marketing, accounting, finance, and leadership training. Resources provided are free of charge.

To begin using the Learning Lab, you must submit a request to become a WBC Richmond client. Once your request is reviewed, you will receive a link to create your account.

Small Business Digital Ready powered by Verizon

Verizon Small Business Digital Ready aims to focus on women- and minority-owned businesses in under-resourced communities The online curriculum will provide resources and in-depth support - including coaching, networking and incentives.

Packed full of valuable resources, coaching sessions, and personalized learning plans, you’ll get access to over 30 self-paced courses in areas ranging from finance to digital marketing and more.

Participants will also be eligible to apply for grant funding exclusive to users of Verizon Small Business Digital Ready. Businesses who register for Verizon Small Business Digital Ready and complete two courses or mentoring events will be eligible to apply for a $10,000 grant.

Institute Capital - As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), Institute Capital seeks to provide high-impact lending to borrowers who cannot typically get capital from mainstream financial institutions, and who are working to create thriving economies in communities that represent the most diverse populations.

The Virginia Small Business Financing Authority (VSBFA) is the Commonwealth of Virginia’s business and economic development financing arm.  Aligned within Virginia’s Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity, the VSBFA offers programs to provide businesses, not-for-profits, and economic development authorities with the financing needed for economic growth and expansion throughout the Commonwealth.

Accoin Opportunity Fund - For small businesses across the south and southeast who were in business prior to September 2019 and experienced economic hardship as a result of COVID-19. Loans up to $100,000 are available. You can apply for three months’ worth of your business’ average monthly revenues for a 3-month period prior to the date of application.
