Stimulating Growth of Entrepreneurship among Minority-Owned Businesses
Roughly 18.7% of small businesses are minority-owned nationally with much lower percentages in the South. According to the State of North Carolina 2021 Disparity Study, there is a statistically significant underutilization of minority and woman owned firms in all five Industry Categories of NC State Agency contracting. The Research, Policy, and Impact Center will host a virtual panel session on the topic best practices and policies to stimulate growth of Minority Business Enterprises.
