Charleston, SC/ Restroom Renovations at James Island Charter HS

This Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, restroom renovations that involve upgrading and modernizing the existing restroom facilities. The scope of work includes the like-replacement of toilet partitions, sinks, toilets, and urinals, as well as painting and the installation of new tile on walls and floors. The objective is to create a more functional, aesthetically pleasing, and hygienic restrooms.

Priority I – Rooms 173, 174, 185, 186, 251, 252, 263, 264, and Gym Complete Gym showers will not be upgraded.

Priority II – Rooms 155A, 162, 163, 166, 168, 182, 183, 257, 258A, 605, and 606

Priority IIl – Rooms 704 – 707, and 805, and 806, 46, and 47.

The Owner has retained the services of a Program Manager to represent the Owner’s interest during the construction of the work.

All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid securities of the three low bidders will be retained until Contract award and execution.

Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are opened.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount.

Bids are to be submitted on the bid form provided, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, contractor’s license number, identification of contract being bid and name of project. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of South Carolina.

THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, WAIVE INFORMALITIES AND AWARD THE CONTRACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.
