REBID – Charlotte, NC – Mallard Creek Road Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Project (CDOT-ITS-19-547)
The Mallard Creek Road ITS Project includes the installation of approximately 0.65 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial attachments to wood utility poles. This project includes the installation of 1 owner furnished traffic management camera. This project also includes fiber splicing and testing. The project limits are from Medical Plaza to Governor Hunt Drive in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.

CONFIDENTIAL RESTRICTED DATA: Interested plan holders must complete and sign the Restricted Data Confidentiality Agreement provided at https://charlottenc.gov/DoingBusiness/Pages/default.aspx?NotFoundURL=https://charlottenc.gov/epmcontracts&Referrer= or from this page under the project description. Submit completed form to Donna Johnson Donna.Johnson@charlottenc.gov submit the form to the Contracts Administrator listed above prior to being authorized access to view or purchase the Bidding Documents. Bid packages must be returned after the bid opening. Your firm will be notified of the City’s approval to obtain copies of the project drawings and specifications.

Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work.
A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $100,000.

The estimated cost of this Project is between $100,000 and $200,000.

Please submit questions or inquiries at least seven (7) calendar days before the Bid Due Date. Questions or inquiries past this deadline may not be addressed by the City prior to the Bid Due Date.

The City of Charlotte reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities as it may deem to be in its best interest.

This project is subject to the requirements of the City’s Charlotte Business INClusion Program to promote diversity, inclusion, and local business opportunities in the City’s contracting and procurement process for Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprises headquartered in the Charlotte Combined Statistical Area.

A DBE Contract Goal of 0% has been established for this project.
