Please find a drop box link below that contains a prequalification questionnaire form and contract documents for your use. The qualification process is mandatory and a prerequisite in order to bid the project. The prequalification form is due on February 23, 2024. Approved contractor trades will be notified of their qualification status.

QUESTIONS DEADLINE: February 28, 2024, by EOB. The questions will be reviewed by the CM and the designers and formally answered in forthcoming addenda.

Bids Due: March 5, 2024, at main reception desk at 175 Bingham Rd., Asheville, NC 28806

Division 2 through 8 will be due at 11:00am

Division 9 through 23 will be due at 3:00pm

All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material & equipment on this date.

PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE: Late May 2024 through Late May 2025

​***Bids must be in sealed envelopes and received at the main office reception desk by the time and date above. All bidding Contractors must use the bid form in the bid packages provided with the bidding documents in the drop link.***​​​

The work of this project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed.  The project consists of a new 4,700 sf Media Center Addition and a 7,000 sf Classroom Addition to the existing W.D. Williams Elementary School.  The project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the contract drawings and/or specifications for a complete project.

Hickory Construction Company, Hickory, NC is seeking subcontractors for a specific trade that covers the work described below.

Divisions – 02 Existing Conditions, 03 Concrete, 04 – Masonry, 05 – Metals, 06 – Wood, Plastics, and Composites, 07 – Thermal and Moisture Protection, 08 – Openings, 09 – Finishes, 10 – Specialties, 12 – Furnishings, 21 – Fire Suppression, 22 – Plumbing, 23 – HVAC, 26 – Electrical, 27 – Communications, 28 – Electronic Safety and Security, 31 – Earthwork, 32 – Exterior Improvements, 33 – Utilities.
