Gallipolis, OH – Construct Terminal Building Schedule 1: Reconstruct Rotating Airport Beacon – 23046

The existing airport rotating beacon is to be replaced. The beacon light and its pole are at the end of their useful life and are difficult to maintain. A tip-down airport beacon with a new LED beacon light will be installed as a part of this project in Schedule 1. The new beacon will be installed at the same location as the existing beacon, which is adjacent to the airfield lighting vault. The existing beacon pole will be demolished. No other lighting will be installed with this project.

The project site is within a restricted area of the airport and may only be viewed by permission and accompaniment by authorized airport personnel. Prospective bidders requesting to view the project site shall contact the airport manager, Mr. Kaleb Arms at 740-645-8232.

Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier’s Check, or a bid bond, in the amount of 5 percent of the total amount bid, made payable to the Gallia County Commissioners as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the County within fifteen (15) days and its performance secured by a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price and, in default thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the Gallia County Commissioners as liquidated damages.
