All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the furnishing of labor, material & equipment on this date.

The work of project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but not limited to, the following scope: All labor, taxes, materials, equipment, services, permits, incidental and implied, to install a complete working system as designed.  The project generally consists of a 5,248 sq. ft. (approx.) alteration of a portion of the existing Rocket Motors building in Old Fort to serve as a satellite instructional campus for McDowell Technical Community College. The project includes all other work as shown, indicated or reasonably implied on the contract drawings and/or specifications for a complete project.

The featured scope of work per contract documents are as follows:  Selective demolition, concrete reinforcement, cast-in-place concrete, polished concrete finishing, structural steel, metal fabrication, misc. rough carpentry, plastic-laminate-clad architectural cabinets, thermal and moisture protection, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, access doors and frames, sectional doors, aluminum-framed entrances, aluminum-framed storefronts, door hardware, glazing, non-structural metal framing, gypsum board, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient base and accessories, exterior and interior paint, plastic toilet compartments, toilet and bath accessories, fire protection cabinets and fire extinguishers, roller window shades, solid surfacing countertops, quartz agglomerate countertops, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, electronic safety and security, earthwork, exterior improvements.

Hickory Construction Company, Hickory, NC is seeking subcontractors for specific scope of work as described above.
