North Charleston (SC) Sewer District – Northwoods and Popperdam Pump Stations Upgrade Projects

The North Charleston Sewer District is accepting Bids from qualified licensed Contractors to upgrade two (2) separate pump stations known as Northwoods and Popperdam Pump Stations. The project includes installation of new generators, various electrical components, installation of new pumps, concrete rehabilitation within the wetwells and influent channels, wetwell and channel linings, installation of mechanical rakes for bar screens, construction of elevated platforms, installation of new valves, sluice gates, slide gates, and painting. General site work with drainage and paving at stations. The project will also include bypass pumping and other appurtenant activities.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of five Percent (5 %) of the base bid, which may be a bid bond, issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in South Carolina that is on the approved list of the Treasury of the United States or a certified check made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, and Payment Bonds each in the full amount of the contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in South Carolina, and on the approved list of the Treasury of the United States.

OWNER’S RIGHTS:
The Owner, North Charleston Sewer District, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and award the job in the best interest of the Owner. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the opening of the bid.

Any print order placed on this site includes all plans and specifications, including any addenda released at the time of order. Downloads do not include addenda, they are all available on the “Addenda” tab of this page. Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued. It is the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.
